Update 2

After careful consideration I have decided on option 1 (user can teleport) and option 3 (user can open a door mechanism). I'm thinking about ways in witch the door can be opened, including ideas and hand swipes, single button presses or automatic doors. Over the next I to research how to code these idea into UE4.
